1. What piece of work am I most proud of? Explain.
The work i am most proud of was the cooking recipe we did in math class. I am proud of it, because I think that i out a lot of effort into it. I enjoyed doing that activity for I found it very fun. As most work, there had to be paper work, however, this activity's paper work was fun to do. I got to use some of my creative skills and managed to bake decent cookies for class.

2. What were your greatest challenges?Explain.
To me, the gratest chanllange would be to work in a group with people I don't know. Because I don't know them, I get shy and and can't think of anything to say. An example of this would be the 1st presentation we did on homo erectus, where I was grouped up with strangers. At first, it felt uncomfortable to bee with them, althogh they were both girls. As a result, I said very little and was a little behind in work. As more days passed, I soon got comfortable with my peers and along the way, made new friends. It takes some time for me to be sociable with others.

3.Reflecting on your growth this year, what did you learn about yourself as a learner?
Throughout this year, I have learnt that I have some weak points and some strong. Some of my weak points that involve being sociable and outgoing. My strong points would have to be being creative while doing projects and working with friends.

4. To evaluate your work habits, choose 1 of the following from each category (provide explanations).

a. Behavior.
Satisfactory = I think this because I rarely make noise in class while the teacher is talking, mostly because dont have anything to say.

b. Participation.
Satisfactory = I participation in class is satisfactory because I often participate. The reason I don't participate, is becasue I wont be able to explain.

c. Organizations.
Satisfactory =

d. Efforts
Satisfactory =

Making Da Diff :)

Although I know that many people around the world are trying to save the earth by doing many things, I think that the most important and reasonable way to save the Earth is the 3 R's, which stand for reuse, reduce, and recycle. These 3 R's are involved in everyday life even though many people ignore them. The first R, reuse. There are many objects in our daily life that we can use to prevent wastage. Such as, using both sides of paper, so that the other side of paper is not wasted. As most of us know, paper comes from trees, and the more paper we want, the more trees are cut down. Trees give us oxygen, and so if more trees are cut down, we receive less fresh air, and animals lose their homes. The second R, is reduce. One of the many ways to reduce is by reducing the amount of electricity we use at home. The less we use, not only are we saving money, but we are also saving the Earth from many types of pollution. Such as, light pollution, sound pollution and air pollution. Finally, the last R. Recycle. Recycling is a major thing that I think if everyone did, we could make a big difference. By recycling, we are also reducing and reusing. There are many things we can recycle, such as plastic, paper, etc. When recycling, the products are sent to a recycling plant and are made into new things. This means that we are REUSING the same material but get new products. If we are reusing the same material, it means that we are REDUCING the amount of trees that need to be cut down or the amount of plastic bottles that need to be made. To me, they are all important however, it is up to US to put these into action. If we work together, WE can all save the Earth no doubt :)

Malaysia Week

So far, the most memorable time in ISKL would be malaysia week. Many people went to many different sites around Malaysia. Some went to coastal places and others went to rainforests. As for me, I went to Pulau Sibu with some of my friends. The journey to Pulau Sibu was a 6 hour bus ride and a 20 minute boat ride. When we got there, we were given a tast to find out chalets . It didn't take to long because we found the correct path and kept following it. After that, we were assigned our room mates. I was lucky enough to sleep with a friend :). We did many activities such as walks trough the jungle, beach clean up, and we learnt some important survival skills such as making a fire and building a shelter. Every day was tiring but we were rewarded with a swim in the beach and some free time to hang out. After a few days in Pulau Sibu, we moved to survivor island, where our skills would be put to the test. We had to build our shelters alone without any adult help in the scortching sun. We also had to make our own lunch and was given a whole chicken to wash, cut, and cook my ourselves. Occasionally, the chicken we put over the fire would fall into the ashes but dispite that, it tasted delicious. We also used big leaves as plates to hold the chicken and rice. Some people were creative and used twigs and chopsticks (but that didn't work out very well). We then had a swim in the clear, blue water and got to eat some juicy watermelon. After a few hours of resting, we headed back to Pulau Sibu where we swam in the beach again. Soon it was dinner time, and since it was the last day, we got to do a barbecue. We even got smorse for dessert! Malaysia Week will definitely be something I will never forget!

Hi!!! My name is Rionna Muniandy, I'm 12 right now but I'm turning 13 in a month or so. (Bday, April 13 1996). I was born in Iowa, U.S.A but I only lived there for 1 year, so I didn't get to experience much. I am currently studying in ISKL but I used to go to a small private school called SRSM (Sekolah Rendah Stella Maris). ISKL is the very first international school i've been to and it is so much fun!!! I've lived in Malaysia for almost 11 years now and I have come to know it very well. I live in Bukit Antarabangsa which isn't very far away from the Petronas Twin Towers. The Twin Towers are the tallest building in Malaysia. It consists of 88 floors and there is a bridge connecting the two towers. I even know that the national flower of Malaysia is the Bunga Raya. It is a flower that has 5 petals and is red in color. (Sometimes it is white or pink).

My Friends!!! Best friends forever!

Ah..................Yes good friends, good friends. Though I am no longer with them in the same school, doesn't mean that we can't hang out anymore. It never does. We still call each other, have gatherings, I invite them to my birthday party and they invite me to theirs. We've had many memorable occasions,
like sports day, concert day, school field trip, and year end class party. Although Stella Maris wasn't as sophisticated as ISKL, the memories and the friends I had were pretty darn good. ^^ Sometimes they say that simpler is better. (I'm not comparing between them both.) All 6th graders were close to each other. We never really had any enemies. Well, the year is over for them, and next year they will all be going to different schools. (Stella Maris only has up to 6th grade.) This may seem like the end of our friendship but don't worry because its not. A friendship as strong as ours will never end! I'll be sure to have many gatherings in the upcoming year. Now that I'm making many more friends here at ISKL, I don't think my brain can remember every body's names!
Forever Friends
You're my friend and that is true,
but the gift was given from me to you.
We went thru moments that were good and bad,
even moments that were happy and sad.
You supported me when i was in tears,
we stuck together when we were     in fear,
its really sad that it had to be this way
but it has reached its very last day.
Miles away cant keep us apart,
'cause you'll always be in my heart.

True Friends
My Friend when I think of you.
I think of all that we've been through.
All the times we argue and fight,
I know deep inside that it isn't right.
I, then feel bad and alot of pain.
It feels like I've fallen from the sky like the rain.
I love you dear friend with all of my heart.
But now that you're gone I've fallen apart.

I'm getting better as the days go by.
I wish sometimes this was all a big lie.
I pray to you every night.
It's like you're my fire, a burning light.
My dear friend, I miss you alot.
I still wonder why you were put in that spot.
I know you're in a place much better than here.
Watching and helping me with all of my fear.
Our friendship my dear friend,
we will have to the end.
Friends til the end is what we will be.
Someday we'll be together, together you and me.

Congrats to all who got 5A's in UPSR!!!!

Middle School Stuff

In middle school, i have learnt a lot of new things that i never knew before. So many new classes!!! So many new skills!!! So many new friends!!! When I moved into ISKL, i started to have Humanities. It was completely new to me not to mention fun. I learnt about countries and how to map them. I also had theater. It has thought me to be brave and outspoken, as it was meant to. SCIENCE!!!! The experiments are awesome! Not only are they fun, they teach us a lot at the same time. Science also teaches us about responsibility. (Actually all classes do...) In science, we have to take care of the equipment sensibly and make sure that they never get stolen, broken or just plain messed up!!! Same goes to Humanities with the books, P.E with the sports equipment, and math with the calculators and other stuff. I'm not done yet! This school gives us many choices. We have the choice to finish our homework, the choice of being responsible, choices of activities, and lastly, the choice of being a good or bad student. (I think there's more.) I have never used this much technology in school before!! (In my previous school, we only used the computer once a week and that was in computer class. Even in computer class, we didn't have enough computers so there had to be about 3-5 people at one computer, but it was still fun.) We use computers almost everyday and each person gets their own! It is so cool! We do it to finish our homework, like essays, graphics are awesome blogs like these!!!
RESPECT- We have many cool, fun and interesting teachers at our school. And we might have a favorite or we might not. No matter how kind they might be (or strict...) we must always, ALWAYS treat them with respect. No way you can take advantage of them! Thats just wrong.... Do something kind to them instead la.... Skills~ as the boys say. There right, we do learn new skills as we progress. We learn different skill in different classes. One day, these skills will become very useful. Especially if we learn how to use them properly now. This is a big one. Drum roll please! FRIENDSHIP. All humans need friends. Those who don't, there just not human. Friends are always by our side, they help us when we need help. Although we may fight at times, there's no doubt that we will get back together before lunch break. I may have changed school...but i will never forget my friends from the previous school. They've been helping me for years and i'll never forget them. (I hope they don't forget me!) I bet im not the only one who never forget their friends.

Courage

Courage to me means being able to try something new without hesitating. For example, I really want to skydive but I’m afraid to or being able to make a new friend on the first day of school. To me, it also means being able to stand up for yourself when you need to. Like if your being bullied but you stand up to the bully. Not showing people that you are afraid and also never saying "I can't do it." Never give up when you do say “I can’t do it.” Being able to change the world and the way people see it. The time that I showed courage was when I represented my class in a story telling competition but I still haven’t overcome my fear of stage fright yet.
